Upon arrival at Fes airport or your hotel, you will be welcomed by our team and introduced to your guide, who will accompany you into Fes el-Bali, the ancient walled medina founded in the 8th century and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Wander through narrow, winding streets that have changed little since medieval times, where artisans still practice centuries-old crafts organized by trade: leatherworkers, potters, metalworkers, and weavers each occupy their own quarter of the medina. Along the way, you will pass historic madrasas, ornate fountains, and lively souks that reveal the depth of Fes’s cultural and architectural heritage.
In the evening, return to your riad to rest and settle in before the adventures ahead.
Begin the day at the Royal Palace of Fes, celebrated for its monumental golden doors and intricate mosaic work. While the interior remains closed to visitors, the grand entrance alone captures the elegance of Moroccan royal architecture.
From there, continue deeper into Fes el-Bali to visit some of its most celebrated landmarks, including the Al-Qarawiyyin University — considered one of the oldest continuously operating universities in the world — and the Chouara Tanneries, where leather has been dyed by hand using traditional methods for centuries. Explore artisan workshops, traditional fountains, and the bustling rhythm of daily life in the medina.
The afternoon is left free for independent exploration, a relaxing hammam, or quiet time in your riad, where genuine Moroccan hospitality awaits.
After breakfast, depart Fes for the long and scenic drive toward the Sahara. The route climbs into the Middle Atlas Mountains through the cedar forests near Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques, before passing through Midelt, known for its apple orchards and dramatic mountain backdrop.
Continuing south, the road follows the Ziz Valley, one of Morocco’s most spectacular palm-lined canyons, before reaching Erfoud, often called the “Gateway to the Desert.” Before sunset, stop at Borj d’Est, a hilltop viewpoint offering sweeping views over the dunes and a memorable desert sunset.
Arrive at your accommodation near the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi as evening settles over the Sahara.

Dedicate this full day to exploring the Sahara around Merzouga. Begin at the Merzouga oasis, where traditional irrigation systems sustain palm groves at the edge of the dunes, before visiting nomadic families living in traditional haima tents to learn about their way of life.
Continue to Khamlia, a village renowned for its Gnawa musical heritage, brought south from sub-Saharan Africa generations ago. Enjoy a live performance of traditional rhythms before exploring the old Mifiss mining site and crossing the desert’s lunar-like plateau. A stop at the peaceful Tissardmine Oasis offers a quiet contrast to the surrounding sand.
In the late afternoon, mount a camel for the ride into the dunes to watch the sunset over Erg Chebbi. As night falls, continue deeper into the desert to a secluded camp, where you will spend the night in a traditional bivouac beneath a sky full of stars.
Leave the dunes behind and head toward Tinghir, an oasis town framed by dramatic cliffs and extensive palm groves. Visit a traditional khettara, an underground irrigation channel that has supplied water to the region for centuries, and walk through the Tinghir palm grove.
Continue to the towering Todra Gorge, where canyon walls rise up to 300 meters above a narrow river. Take time to walk along the water’s edge and enjoy lunch surrounded by the gorge’s dramatic scenery.
In the afternoon, drive through Boumalne Dades into the Dades Valley, known for its winding roads, rugged cliffs, and the famous “monkey fingers” rock formations. Arrive at your hotel in the valley for dinner and an overnight stay.

Pass through Skoura, home to an extensive palm oasis and several historic kasbahs, before reaching the town of Ouarzazate, gateway to some of Morocco’s most iconic film locations.
End the day in the shadow of the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose earthen architecture has featured in productions including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Overnight stay in a nearby hotel.

Begin with a full visit of the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, exploring its narrow alleyways and admiring the earthen towers that have made it one of Morocco’s most photographed sites.
From there, continue to the Kasbah of Telouet, the former stronghold of the powerful Glaoui family, known for its richly decorated halls and intricate mosaics that reflect the height of Berber craftsmanship.
In the afternoon, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching 2,260 meters and offering some of the most spectacular mountain panoramas in the country. Descend into Marrakech and check into your riad in the heart of the medina for the night.

Spend the day exploring Marrakech on foot with your guide. Highlights include the historic medina, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Koutoubia Mosque, alongside the winding streets of the souks where artisans sell spices, textiles, and handicrafts.
As afternoon turns to evening, make your way to Jemaa El Fna Square, where storytellers, musicians, and food stalls bring the city’s most famous square to life. Enjoy dinner at one of the square’s lively restaurants or a rooftop terrace overlooking the action below. Overnight stay in the same riad.
Depart in the morning for the roughly three-hour drive to the coastal town of Essaouira. Upon arrival, visit the Wooden Crafts Museum, housed in a historic palace, to admire the fine woodworking traditions of the region.
Continue to the Skala of the harbor, a fortified sea wall offering panoramic views over the Atlantic and the town’s fishing port, where the daily fish auction offers a glimpse into local life. Wander through the medina’s narrow streets, home to numerous artisan workshops tucked beneath the old city ramparts.
In the late afternoon, return to Marrakech for a third night in the same riad.

After breakfast, travel to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic capital. On arrival, visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, set dramatically on the Atlantic coastline.
Continue into the old medina before exploring the city’s modern districts. For those looking for souvenirs, a stop at the traditional Habous Market offers a good selection of crafts, spices, and gifts. Overnight stay in Casablanca.

Depart for Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to visit the iconic Hassan Tower and explore the city’s historic landmarks. Continue toward Meknes, the former imperial capital that flourished under Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century.
Along the way, stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, just outside Meknes, to walk among well-preserved mosaics and ancient streets that testify to Morocco’s Roman past. In Meknes, take a guided walk to see the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, El Hedime Square, and the monumental Bab Mansour gate. Overnight stay in Meknes.
