Your 2 day desert trip from marrakech begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or riad. As you leave Marrakech, you will journey through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, pausing to take in the breathtaking scenery. After a scenic lunch stop, you will head to Merzouga, your final destination.
In the afternoon, camels await to guide you through the Erg Chebbi Dunes. You will pause atop a high dune to witness a mesmerizing sunset. Then, you will continue your camel ride to the desert camp, where you will find your private tent. After freshening up, savor a delicious dinner and gather around a campfire for drumming and Berber songs.
Today, we recommend that you wake up early in the morning to watch a magnificent sunrise. After a delightful breakfast, we will depart from the camp in a 4×4 car, heading to the town of Merzouga. From there, our journey takes us back to the vibrant city of Marrakech, with several stops en route, including a lunch break.
One notable stop is at the panoramic viewpoint of the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. This well-preserved village is also a sought-after location for film producers, with numerous movies and TV series, such as Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia, and Game of Thrones, choosing it as a backdrop for their productions.
